Canada has many influences in their languages, especially since they have two official languages there. Canadian slang is influenced mostly by European and American slang(the amount of influence a country has on Canada will depend on where you are in Canada). However, they still have many of their own slang words that they came up with there and use solely there. These terms may not be used everywhere in Canada, but they are common enough that it is good to at least be familiar with them if you intend to travel there.

- snowbirds- people who move to America during the winter
- sook/sookie- a weak, self-pitying person
